SafetyEmployees must be safety certified to work at SpiderPlow: all must pass provincially regulated courses in first aid, H2S and ground disturbance, and must have WHMIS certification. Moreover, safety procedures are reviewed daily before any work begins. The small crew size and SpiderPlow’s intrinsic safety features, such as the cable design that eliminates recoil, have contributed to the Company’s exemplary safety record. SpiderPlow's safety program includes a corporate-wide substance abuse policy designed to conform with the most stringent standards as set out by the U.S. Department of Transport. SpiderPlow has a full time safety manager, Leo Pacholok, who is responsible for monitoring and enforcing the Company’s safety practices. All equipment is inspected on a daily basis, as well as being subject to regularly-scheduled maintenance after 100 hours.
